Easter Workshops with Vicky Smith

April 13th and 14th 2019

Time:10.30am -3.30pm

Ages 8 – 12 years

Easter Hare Tote Bags

Booking is through Eventbrite only. Kids workshop cost €125 per child, with all materials provided.

This workshop will combine print and textiles to create
fun, improvised tote bags as artworks in their own right. Working together, we will explore the visual elements of Albrecht Dürer famous Hare painting, Young Hare 1502, watercolour and body colour painting, its composition through print and textiles, creating our own unique version. We will then translate these drawings into prints, working with different materials; paper, watercolour, lino print, paint, to create our own artworks that will be transferred onto a tote bag. Using observational drawing and print as our key tools, the workshop will focus on observation, photography, print and intuitive ways of making to recreate this famous image as a contemporary print that is then transferred onto a modern bag.
